A natural relaxed boho style tipi wedding in Gower
I love tipi weddings, they’re cosy and relaxed and it’s lovely to see what people do to make them unique on their wedding day.
Niall and Chloe held their summer wedding reception at Stouthall in Gower, near Swansea.
After bridal preparations at Chloe’s family home they were married at the beautiful Saint John the Baptist Callwen, in the Swansea Valley.
Before their wedding I photographed Niall and Chloe on an engagement shoot at Three Cliffs Bay which you can see HERE. For their wedding pictures they wanted to go back to Three Cliffs but because of tight timings of the day we decided to take in the view from the other side of the bay which is more accessible. By now these two were real naturals in front of the camera.
On to the venue and the guests were already enjoying the lawn games and music entertainment. The tipi had been decorated with lace and ivy and around all the beams they had hung hundreds of photographs off their guests, which was very entertaining when people found their shots.
The weather began to close in on us but held off just long enough for Niall and Chloe to take an evening stroll together, this is always a welcome break and a chance to reflect on the day.

The night ahead was lively. Niall and Chloe had planned sparklers for their guests and I kept a close eye on the weather and we caught a break in the rain to get everyone outside. For the rest of the night, we were entertained by a Ceili band and the guests really got stuck into the dancing.
Note to self, don’t stand in the centre of the dance floor when the Ceili Master calls all the men to the middle !!!
