Mari and Jake had the most chilled out wedding ever. After getting ready at her parents home Mari was driven to St Nicholas Church in the Gower in a vintage red VW camper van. The ceremony was light with a lot of laughs thanks to the vicar.
We had planned to go to the cliffs at Tor Bay which look across Gower to Oxwich Bay for Mari and Jake’s photographs along with the happiest dog in the world, Finnley (who has his own instagram account!). So while the guests set off from church to the marquee at Perriswood Weddings we walked the route they often take with Finnley to get to the cliff top and a spectacular view over Three Cliffs and Oxwich Bay.
We arrived at the marquee to find family and guests enjoying the Gower view and playing games Jake had set out. We took some mildly formal family photographs photobombed by Finnley the golden retriever.
After the wedding breakfast the speeches became emotional when Jake’s best men decided instead of ripping him to shreds, they would talk of what a great friend he was. Followed by Mari throwing her bouquet…three times. The first turned into an epic scrum diving tackle (see the pictures below), the second was so the person who was ‘supposed’ to catch it had a chance, the third was to Mari’s sister who fumbled under pressure (sorry Cazz).
After a little break and a quiet walk together Mari and Jake joined their guests for an epic party, lots of dancing, sparklers and a selection of odd hats.
