Penpont House Brecon wedding
Sophie and Claire’s Penpont House Brecon wedding was a last-minute booking. They didn’t want the usual type of coverage and Sophie explained to me that it was to be a tea party with a civil partnership ceremony and a big game of rounders !! followed by pizza and beer.
This was the most informal, upside-down, back-to-front, lovely, amazing wedding of the summer. No wedding dresses, no big speeches, just a group of close friends and family celebrating together.
The day started with everyone gathering with Sophie and Claire for drinks, sandwiches and cakes, and then they both went off separately to get ready. The ceremony was followed by a sprint through a confetti storm followed by a few group photos.
Sophie and Claire are very familiar with the Penpont House estate and for their photographs they wanted to make the most of the walled gardens and other beautiful areas close by.
Late into the afternoon things got very competitive on the lawn as everybody joined in a game of rounders. The evening was topped off with locally brewed beer a mobile pizza oven and a folk band.
