Planning your wedding at the Oxwich Bay Hotel
The Oxwich Bay Hotel is a beachside venue on the spectacular Gower Peninsula.
If you plan to get ready for your wedding at the hotel they have lots of rooms for family and guests as well as a bridal suite which may be available to use depending on whether there is a wedding the day before. They also have pods in the Secret Garden and cottage accommodations available. Ceremonies are held in the rustic, cosy Chestnut Room within the hotel itself. Most wedding receptions are held in the marquee which is positioned amonst the trees near the end of the beach. Something that often works in their favour is that the marquee is East facing which means it is protected from most weather, as often the prevailing winds come from the South or South West.
The marquee itself is very adaptable to any decor style or theme and on warm summer days the sides can be rolled up to experience the uninterrupted panoramic views of the Gower. There is a small garden area that is perfect for lawn games or just sitting out in the sun.
Some of the most beautiful locations for wedding photography in Gower are right on their doorstep, within walking distance is the beach and sand dunes as well as very pretty woodland which is a good alternative to the busy beach during the middle of a hot summer’s day.
