Oxwich Bay Hotel summer wedding South Wales
Emily and Byron… I could just leave it there, point you to the slideshow above, tell you to pump up the volume and you would get a feel for the whole day.
But I’ll elaborate a little more. Emily and Byron first saw me at their friend’s South Wales wedding back in 2016 and a lot of the same guests were at that wedding, so I already knew it was going to be a crazy fun day. It was very clear from the start that they wanted a fun relaxed wedding. Everything had been planned around spending as much time with friends and family as possible.
Their wedding by the beach at the Oxwich Bay Hotel started in the venue’s cottages with the bridal party getting ready while the boys got ready in the caravans.
After the ceremony in the Oxwich Bay Hotel Chestnut Room and formal photographs in the garden, we visited the dunes overlooking Oxwich Bay, Emily and Byron are the perfect fun-loving couple to photograph, no matter how hard they tried to be even a little bit serious in a photograph they just ended up laughing at each other.
The afternoon was taken over by some very serious competitive Beer Pong, some rules were broken and warnings were handed out by Chris the official Beer Pong martial, who also spent half the night wearing a rubber pony head so how serious can you take him really.
The end of the first dance was signalled by confetti cannons across the dance floor and it all went a little nuts from there onwards, in a good Welsh wedding way of course, as I mentioned at the start, I’ve photographed this lot before, and since, and with still more weddings to come next year it’s always a party that keeps on giving.
