Nat and Will’s wedding at the King Arthur Hotel, Gower, South Wales
Will and Nat contacted me to be their wedding photographer after I photographed Nat’s brother’s wedding last year, you can see it HERE. They were worried about their wedding photographs and didn’t want a lot of attention on them in front of all the guests. They asked if I minded taking the couple pictures before the ceremony “SHOCK HORROR, THAT’S NOT TRADITIONAL” is what I didn’t say. I’ve had a fair few upside down and back to front weddings over the years and I love them.
I suggested we do a “first look” scenario, nothing posed but natural wedding photographs of just the two of them when Will would see his bride for the first time. They decided they would do it at the holiday park where they met and worked together as teenagers, there is a road around the park that overlooks Port Eynon Bay.
So the morning started at The King Arthur Hotel, Will arrived late morning to dress in his Navy uniform, then he drove to the holiday park and ten minutes behind, I drove Nat. We parked and I got in to position and when she was ready Nat walked up behind Will, see the pictures below.
We arrived back at The King Arthur for some final preparations followed by the ceremony in the beautiful Avalon room.
After speeches Will changed out of his uniform and took Nat for a late evening stroll down to the hotel’s meadow for some quiet time and a few more photographs.
The evening’s entertainment was provided by the AWESOME !!! The Apple Tree Theory who managed to keep the dance floor full all night.
