Kelly and Greg’s King Arthur Hotel Gower wedding in Swansea
I met Kelly and Greg at The King Arthur Hotel wedding fayre in Swansea just over a year ago, they had just booked the venue. We clicked straight away and kept in touch and then last summer about a month before their wedding we met at Rhossili Bay for a pre-wedding shoot, It was a perfect chance to see how comfortable they were in front of my camera and for them to get used to me being around.
This wedding was one of the most emotional rollercoasters I’ve ever photographed and I was honoured to be there to capture those moments. Greg’s mother passed away about a year before the wedding and I knew there would be thoughtful moments, tears of sadness and tears of joy. The speeches hit everyone hard and the whole room felt it, even the King Arthur staff and I had to wipe away a few tears, but in these situations there is a wonderful feeling of closeness and Greg finished his speech by bringing smiles back to everyone’s faces, followed by the best man’s speech which had us all crying with laughter.
Greg’s father surprised everyone when two men dressed as hotel waiting staff began singing, I’ve never had singing waiters at a wedding before, these guys were incredible and had people standing on chairs waving their napkins around.
Kelly and Greg also booked Luke Jugglestruck, an amazing close up magician. I’ve added some pictures below, I’ve seen him perform some of his tricks many times at events and weddings and I STILL can’t work out how he does them.
Finally the night got into full swing with the first dance followed by the amazing iPOP band, these guys are truly epic, it’s like having a band on it’s arena concert tour singing their hearts out in the corner of your wedding dance floor.
