Jabajak Vineyard sunny outdoor wedding
I was very excited when I first spoke to Laura and Marc about their Jabajak Vineyard wedding. Our first meeting was via good old skippy, jumpy skype and we clicked straight off. It was great to hear they had already been looking around this website and even found inspiration for wedding rings from a shot I took at a previous wedding.
On the big day, Laura got ready with her bridal party in the cosy converted barn. A small military-level operation got underway when Laura realised her shoes weren’t tight enough for dancing later, so a variety of pointy devices were found and some expert medical stitching was required to get her dance-ready. Before Marc got ready he went for a parkrun !! that’s one way to get your heart pumping before your wedding ceremony.

The ceremony was held outside, next to the vineyard with family, friends, kilt-wearing pageboys and Pepper the dog. I took Laura, Marc and Pepper for a stroll through Jabajak’s vineyard for their portraits, as usual, no staging or awkward posing, my style is very much positioning a couple where the light and location are great and then catching their natural interaction.
After the wedding meal, everyone relaxed in the sun on the lawn with some garden games. Laura had bought all the kids bubbles including a giant bubble maker which I think she enjoyed even more than the kids.
Although my photography style is generally documentary I still shoot small details like the rings and on this occasion, Pepper the dog stepped up to be the model. This has only happened with me once before at THIS WEDDING and I think Pepper and their dog Finnley would be best friends.
The evening was filled with energetic Ceilidh dancing and another quick stroll around the vineyard as the sun went down.
