Fairyhill Gower wedding venue Swansea, South Wales.
Rebecca and James were married at Fairyhill Gower near Swansea. Right from the start, they said they wanted a relaxed, fun wedding. Nothing heavily posed, just natural shots of everyone having a great day.
The day began at their home in Swansea with Rebecca, her bridesmaids, parents, and most importantly Barney the dog. I was clearly at one with Barney as we chose the same colour outfits to wear that morning, his collar and lead matched my waistcoat perfectly.
This was the first wedding I had photographed at Fairyhill Gower since the spectacular renovation. Their ‘K Room’ is a stunning piece of architecture (that’s the interior design geek in me) and gathered far more natural light than I had expected (that’s the photography geek in me). It was filled with stunning natural wildflowers from Eve Francesca Designs.
After their ceremony, Rebecca and James had chosen to visit Llangennith beach which is about a 15-minute drive away. The Gower coastline is a big part of their lives as James surfs and they camp and walk Barney at the beach. They were very comfortable together in front of the camera, they were a joy to photograph especially when they forgot I was even there.
Fairyhill Gower wedding venue has its own stunning grounds and plenty of little spots for photographs and we took a walk down to the lake in the evening to give Rebecca and James some quiet quality time before the chaos of the night’s party started.
Their first dance was to my favourite song by the Foo Fighters, the acoustic version of Everlong, sung by Rory of iRock. Halfway through the song they switched up to the full rocking version and all the guests were invited onto the dancefloor when you see the pictures below you’ll see it stayed like that for the rest of the night.
Stunning make up was provided by Jessie Dallimore
