As a documentary wedding photographer, I have witnessed some amazing moments in the last year.
Now that the 2022 wedding season has come to an end and every wedding has been edited and delivered, the time has come for me to look back on the year.
For me, this year has had some new milestones. I have been concentrating on my brand as a documentary wedding photographer and over the last few years I have been part of a few international communities that are dedicated to real, authentic, natural moments and are not posed or staged. This has always been at the core of what I do and if you follow my social media you’ll know I love these moments as much as any epic sunset.
These communities have inspired me to get closer, be more patient and improve my craft. They also hold awards throughout the year, each round judged by a different panel of international photographers. The award I’m most proud of this year was my first Story Award from This Is Reportage, a collection of 20 completely unstaged images from one wedding telling the story of the day. Incredibly, I then won another Story award and along with a set of single image awards throughout the year I was placed in their TOP 20 STORYTELLERS IN THE WORLD, TOP 30 PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE WORLD, and TOP 10 PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE UK.
Another documentary wedding photography community I’m very proud to be part of, Photographers Keeping It Real placed me in their TOP 10 Wedding Photographers Of The Year 2022.
And finally Inspiration Photographers named me in their TOP 50 Wedding Photographers Worldwide for 2022.

It’s been mind-blowing to have been picked for these awards on top of how crazy this year has been. Since the Pandemic struck it had a massive effect on our industry, for many 2021 was a busy year, catching up on postponed weddings. 2022 went to the next level and I shot twice as many weddings as usual. That’s probably over 3000 hugs, tens of thousands of smiles and an impressive selection Dad dance moves.
My best moments of 2022
So here are some of my favourite moments from the year. There are magical moments from morning preparations, hilarious speeches, epic sunsets, dance floor mayhem, and much more. My 2022 wedding season starts very soon and my plan for the year is to continue to look for those awesome moments and “shoot how it feels” because let’s face it, every single one of these photos puts a huge smile on my face and hopefully yours too. The bar is set pretty damn high 2023 so let’s see what you’ve got.

I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU
To the couples who trusted me to capture the memories of their day, and their families and friends that also gave me so much to photograph.
I want to also thank the amazing wedding venues that have looked after me through 2022.
